Open BreEZe, choose “Initial Security Guard Registration,” pay $60, then complete Live Scan.
Do not choose renewal, firearms, or a different BSIS license type. Save the receipt and application number before leaving the portal.

BreEZe sequence
- 1
Create or sign in to the official BreEZe account
You do not need an existing guard license to create an account. Use an email you control and save the login recovery information.
- 2
Choose the initial-application path
Use “Submit an Application” or the current equivalent, select the Bureau of Security and Investigative Services, then choose the initial Security Guard Registration application—not renewal or a weapons permit.
- 3
Enter identity and contact information exactly
Use the same legal details that will appear on the Live Scan form. Mismatches can create preventable follow-up.
- 4
Enter the training record
Use the certificate and provider records rather than memory. Confirm the full course came from one provider and falls inside the six-month window.
- 5
Answer declarations and review every page
Use the review screen to catch spelling, date, address, and training-detail errors before payment.
- 6
Pay and save the evidence
Download or print the receipt and submitted application details. Record any application number shown.
- 7
Now complete Live Scan
Use the current guard form, keep the completed copy and ATI number, then return to BreEZe and the official license search to monitor status.
Follow the Live Scan steps → - 8
Read deficiencies instead of waiting blindly
Check the application details/status area for messages, missing items, or agency correspondence. Respond using official instructions and keep a copy.
